Three little Aussie friends for the pram, plus the pastel spiral wrap they hang from. Pram Toys & Rattles Crochet Vol 1 gives you a soft crochet spiral that coils itself around a pram handle or bumper bar — no ties, no clips — and three small amigurumi toys to hang from it on short cords: a round-faced Koala with big ears, a Kangaroo with a real pouch and a long tail, and a stocky little Wombat. Every face is embroidered, and every toy can take an optional sealed rattle disc if you would like a gentle jingle.
THE FOUR DESIGNS
• Pram Spiral Wrap — a 63 cm pastel strip (Eucalyptus Green, Cream, Butter Yellow, Blossom Pink, Dusty Blue) worked at three stitches per chain so it springs into a coil on its own, dressed with four little five-petal flowers and six leaves. Wraps about 40 cm of handle or bar.
• Koala — approx 11 cm tall. The widest head in the pack, two-piece ears (Dusty Blue disc, Cream inner), Cream paw tips and toe round, and that big embroidered koala nose.
• Kangaroo — approx 13 cm tall including her long oval ears. Cream pouch panel sewn on three sides so the top stays open as a pocket, long feet, and a 14-round tapering tail.
• Wombat — approx 11 cm tall and pleasingly solid: the widest body in the pack, small ears with Eucalyptus Green inners, green paw tips, and a broad embroidered wombat nose.
Each animal is built its own way — different head and body shapes, different ears, different extras — so the set never looks like one pattern in three colours.
BABY SAFETY, BY DESIGN
• Embroidered faces only — no plastic safety eyes, no buttons, no beads, nothing small and hard to work loose
• Every part is sewn on with a double pass of stitches
• The optional rattle is a sealed disc, fully enclosed inside the body, with an extra-secure double-pass closing finish — never loose fillings
• Hanging cords are short chains by design (finished drop well under 12 cm) — never lengthen them
• The set hangs on the pram for supervised awake play and comes off at sleep time; a full one-page safety guide is in the pattern
WHAT YOU GET

YARN & SIZES
DK (8 ply) cotton and a 4.0 mm hook — one 50 g ball (approx 115 m) of each of the six colours makes the whole pack: Dusty Blue, Blossom Pink, Cream, Wombat Beige, Eucalyptus Green and Butter Yellow, plus a scrap of black or dark brown for the faces, and about 60 g of toy stuffing. Toys finish about 11–13 cm tall; the wrap coils around about 40 cm of pram handle.
SKILL LEVEL
Confident beginner and up. If you can work single crochet in a spiral, increase and decrease, you can make the whole set — the wrap is a single joyful row, and each animal is fully counted, round by round.
