Description
An Aussie summer wardrobe for your 30 cm (12 in) doll — six crochet clothes patterns in one pack, made for long sunny days, backyard safaris and trips to the beach. This is Vol 2 of our doll clothes collection: where Vol 1 was pastels and party dresses, this set is all Australian summer — seaside stripes, olive safari gear and golden wattle lace.
IMPORTANT: these are patterns for the CLOTHES ONLY. The doll is not included and is not a pattern in this pack. The set is sized for a 30 cm (12 in) doll measuring about: head circumference 21 cm, chest 16 cm, waist 15 cm, hips 17 cm.
THE SIX PATTERNS
• Striped Sun Hat — Cream and Seaside Blue stripes in 2-round bands, worked from the crown out to a wide floppy brim (about 11.5 cm across) with a scallop-shell edge
• Olive Safari Hat — plain Olive, worked in a continuous spiral with a firmer, narrower brim (about 10.5 cm across) and a crisp reverse-crochet edge
• Striped Romper — Seaside Blue and Cream in strict 2-row stripes with a full stripe chart: two legs joined at the crotch, a shaped waist, a Cream button placket with five buttonholes, edged straps and scalloped leg openings. Chest about 15 cm, hips about 17 cm
• Safari Jacket and Shorts — an Olive collared jacket with two sewn-on flap pockets, a button band with four buttonholes, set-in sleeves and a picked-up collar, plus plain Olive shorts with a drawstring waist. Jacket chest about 16 cm
• Wattle Lace Dress — a fitted bodice with cap sleeves and a skirt of 24 joined floral lace motifs (6, then 8, then 10), with two large flowers, two medium flowers and three wattle sprigs crocheted separately and sewn on as appliqué — that is their real construction, and the pattern shows you exactly where they go. Total length about 14.5 cm
• Wattle Handbag — a tiny oval-based bag (about 7.5 × 5 cm) with a shell-edged flap, a button loop and a crocheted handle
WHAT YOU GET
A 14-page printable PDF pattern with:
• Every round and every row written out in full, with the stitch count in brackets — and every count in this pack was checked by computer before printing, so if your count matches, you are exactly on track
• The romper’s stripe chart and the dress’s lace motif chart, both drawn from the same stitch data as the written pattern
• A yarn totals table up front: stitches, metres, yards, grams and 50 g balls for every colour, per item and for the whole pack
• Finished garment measurements for every piece, assembly notes for the jacket pockets and collar, and step-by-step placement and sewing notes for the dress’s sewn-on wattle flowers
• US terms with UK equivalents throughout
YARN AND SIZES
DK (8 ply) cotton and a 4.0 mm hook. The whole wardrobe takes about 85 g of yarn — one 50 g ball each of Seaside Blue, Cream, Olive and Wattle Yellow, plus a few grams of Leaf Green for the flower stems and leaves. You will also need nine small buttons (about 8–10 mm): five for the romper, four for the jacket. Cotton is the right choice for doll clothes — it holds a tiny collar, shows the lace, and washes clean after a day in the garden.
SKILL LEVEL
Confident beginner and up. You need single crochet, double crochet, simple increases and decreases; the lace motif and the wattle pom are explained stitch by stitch where they appear.
