πΌποΈ CUSHION COVERS CROCHET PATTERNS VOL 1 β AUSSIE FLORA ποΈπΌ
Three 40 Γ 40 cm cushion covers in cream DK cotton, each one decorated with a different Australian native flower: golden wattle, pale native blossom, and big red bottlebrush. Make the full set for the sofa, or just the one that suits your room β every cover uses the same simple shell, and every motif pattern is included.
HOW THESE ARE MADE β honestly: each cover is a plain single-crochet front panel decorated with flat appliquΓ© motifs that you crochet separately and sew on, plus two plain back panels that overlap into an envelope β no zip, no buttons, and the insert slips in and out through the overlap. Every motif has its own full pattern in the pack’s Motif Library. Nothing is glued and nothing is worked into the panel as you go. If you can make a single crochet and sew a seam, you can make every cover in this pack.
π DESIGN 1 β WATTLE CUSHION
Six sprays of golden bobble clusters β 9 bobbles on every spray, worked on green stalks β with five feathery fern leaves, all sewn onto the cream panel. Australia’s floral emblem, glowing on the sofa.
πΈ DESIGN 2 β NATIVE BLOSSOM CUSHION
Three pale pink-white blossoms, each with five petals around a centre of five golden mini-bobbles (worked into the pattern, just like the cluster of stamens in a real gum blossom), with four little buds and three sage-green leaf sprays.
β€οΈ DESIGN 3 β BOTTLEBRUSH CUSHION
Two big red bottlebrush spikes worked in loop stitch β 72 loops on every spike, rolled into a brush that stands proud of the panel β on a brown stem with six long green leaves. The one cushion everyone pats as they walk past.
π§Ά THE MOTIF LIBRARY (7 motif patterns, every one written out in full)
Wattle Flower Spray Β· Fern Leaf Β· Native Blossom Β· Blossom Bud Β· Leaf Spray Β· Bottlebrush Spike (loop stitch, rolled and stitched) Β· Bottlebrush Stem & Leaves. Plus the full cushion shell: front panel written out row by row (80 sc Γ 88 rows), both envelope back panels, the piping cord, and the joining round (340 sc) that puts it all together.
βοΈ SKILL LEVEL: confident beginner and up. Panels are plain single crochet; the motifs add bobbles and loop stitch, both explained in full in the pattern. Every row and round is written out with its stitch count in brackets, and every count in this pack has been computer-checked before printing, so the words, the placement diagrams and the yarn table can never disagree. Each design comes with a full placement list AND a placement diagram.
π GAUGE & SIZES: 20 sc sts Γ 22 rows = 10 cm in DK (8 ply) cotton with a 4.0 mm hook. Each finished cover is 40 Γ 40 cm and fits a standard 40 Γ 40 cm cushion insert. US terms throughout, with UK equivalents in the table up front.
𧡠YARN: DK cotton in 8 colours β Cream, Wattle Gold, Leaf Green, Sage Green, Blossom Pink, Mustard, Bottlebrush Red and Bark Brown. The yarn table sits right up front: per cushion and per colour, in metres, grams and 50 g balls, all worked out stitch by stitch. Cream carries every panel (13 balls makes all three covers); one ball of each motif colour is plenty for the whole set.
