Description
Three angels for a Bush Christmas — Waratah, Wattle and Bottlebrush — each about 12 cm tall, each made to hang by her own crocheted loop, and each wearing a mini-wreath of Australian native flowers at her chest, crocheted stitch by stitch. Hang them on the tree, along a gum branch, across a window or by the door. From our Aussie family shop, these are Christmas angels that could belong to no other country.
PLEASE NOTE — HONESTLY: each mini-wreath is a separate crocheted ring, and its flowers and leaves are crocheted motifs — patterned with their own counts in this pack — stitched onto the ring with a needle; the finished wreath is then stitched to the gown. Nothing is glued and no real flowers are used. The angels’ faces are embroidered (stitched closed eyes, tiny lashes and a tiny mouth) — the patterns use no plastic eyes, no buttons and no glued parts anywhere. They are decorations, not toys, and they are hangers, not standers: the branch, tree, lights and window in the photos are the setting only.
WHAT’S INSIDE THE 19-PAGE PDF
• Angel 1, Waratah (about 12 cm): a cream cone gown worked top-down in half double crochet — 18 stitches at the neck widening to 60 at the hem over 14 rounds — with a shell-lace hem (15 shells), golden hair with a crocheted ponytail, cream two-lobe scallop wings with a stitch chart, a gold halo, and her wreath: a green ring with a six-petal waratah bloom and three gum leaves (written rows AND a mini chart)
• Angel 2, Wattle (about 12 cm): a white gown with two gold band rounds and a chain-loop lace hem (18 loops), brown hair with two little bunches, cream scallop wings with chart, a gold halo, and her wreath: a smaller green ring carrying five gold 5-dc bobble blossoms — the wattle — with four narrow leaves
• Angel 3, Bottlebrush (about 12 cm): a sage-green gown with a gold trim round and a gold shell hem, cream hair with a low chignon, white scallop wings with chart, a gold halo, and her wreath: a green ring with three fringed-loop bottlebrush spikes and four narrow leaves
• Shared Basics: the one head pattern all three use, the embroidered face, the hair cap, and the ch-24 hanging loop worked into the crown
• Every wing is drawn as a stitch chart from the same width model as its written rows, and every wing edging is counted from its chart’s own outline — the counts can never disagree
• Yarn totals tables up front — every piece of each angel and every colour costed in metres, yards, grams and 50 g balls, counted stitch by stitch (the trio together: 5,521 stitches, about 162 m — one ball of each of the eight colours)
