Description
Two angels for the mantel, the middle of the Christmas table, or a quiet windowsill — a tall Classic White angel, about 18 cm, and her smaller Gold Dress companion, about 15 cm — crocheted in classic white and gold, and each one made to stand unaided on her own weighted base. From our Aussie family shop, they are the pair that goes with everything: white, gold, greenery and candlelight.
PLEASE NOTE — HONESTLY: everything on both angels is yarn, stuffing and stitches. Their faces are embroidered (stitched closed eyes, tiny lashes and a tiny mouth) — the patterns use no plastic eyes, no buttons and no glued parts. They stand because of their construction: a firm cone gown, a flat crocheted base disc inside the hem, and a small weighted pouch resting on the disc inside the cone. You supply the weight — about 100 g for Angel A and 80 g for Angel B of dry rice or poly-pellets in a small sealed pouch, or a clean bottle-cap weight disc. They are decorations, not toys. The candles, greenery and table settings in the photos are the setting only — stand them well clear of flames.
WHAT’S INSIDE THE 18-PAGE PDF
• Angel A, Classic White (about 18 cm): a white cone gown worked bottom-up from the hem — 78 stitches narrowing to an 18-stitch neck over 32 rounds — with gold trim rounds at the hem and a gold waistband round, a flat base disc with a gold crab-stitch edge, a skin-tone head with an embroidered face, a soft-brown hair cap with two spiral curls, arms with gold cuffs, cream TWO-PIECE layered wings with crab-stitch borders (written rows AND charts from the same width model), and a gold halo on a stem
• Angel B, Gold Dress (about 15 cm): a gold bell gown worked bottom-up in half double crochet — 66 stitches to 18 over 20 rounds — with a 66-picot scalloped hem edge, a gold base disc, a white sash band with tie tails for her waist bow, a smaller head with an embroidered face, a hair cap with a single plaited braid down her back, plain gold-sleeved arms, white single-piece wings with a gold edging counted from the wing chart’s own perimeter (40 stitches, exact), a wing chart from the same model, and a smaller gold halo
• The standing system explained in full for both: fitting the disc, sealing and placing the weighted pouch, stuffing, the standing check, and how to fix a lean
• Step-by-step assembly for both angels, finishing and care notes
• Yarn totals tables up front — every piece of each angel and every colour costed in metres, yards, grams and 50 g balls, counted stitch by stitch (the pair together: 5,758 stitches, about 154 m — one ball of each of the five colours)
