✨ WHAT'S INSIDE ✨
• Pattern 1 — Hooded Koala Romper. Top-down raglan, knitted in the round in sizes 0–3 (3–6, 6–12) months. Cool blue-grey body with a cream tummy panel, a short button placket at the neck, cuffed legs with NO enclosed feet (tiny toes stay free), and NO tail. The hood carries two very big round ears with fluffy white inner ears (worked in loop stitch, or in a brushed fluffy yarn — both are written into the pattern) and an intarsia cream muzzle with a big black oval nose, charted 30 sts × 16 rows.
• The pocket is REAL — and it is knitted into the romper as you go, not sewn on afterwards. The cream tummy panel is the pocket front, deep enough for the joey (or a dummy, or tiny treasures).
• Pattern 2 — Mini Koala Joey Toy. A pocket-sized joey with a cream belly (charted), big fluffy ears and an embroidered face — no safety eyes, so he is soft and baby-safe. He sits about 14 cm tall and is made to live in the romper's pocket.
• Pattern 3 — Oval Play Mat. A plain blue-grey oval (about 66 × 53 cm) with a cream border ring and a SMALL koala face worked in intarsia in the centre only — charted 56 sts × 34 rows, with silver-grey head, fluffy white ear centres, pink cheeks and a cream muzzle. The face sits in the middle of the mat; the mat is not one giant face.
🧶 YARN — EXACT TOTALS, NO GUESSING 🧶
The pattern's front-matter table gives you, for EACH size, every colour in grams AND metres/yards AND 50 g DK balls, plus the total for the whole three-piece set. The set totals are:
• 0–3 months: 345 g — 752 m (823 yd) — 11 balls in total
• 3–6 months: 360 g — 789 m (862 yd) — 12 balls in total
• 6–12 months: 375 g — 819 m (896 yd) — 12 balls in total
Blue-grey DK does most of the work: 290 (305, 320) g = 664 (699, 727) m = 6 (7, 7) balls. Then just 1 ball each of cream DK (30 g), black DK (5 g), soft pink DK (5 g), pale silver-grey DK (10 g) and white fluffy yarn (5 g). You will also need 4 mm and 3.25 mm needles, two 15 mm wooden buttons and about 30 g of toy stuffing.
