Crochet Rugs & Floor Mats Vol 2 gives you two chunky cotton floor pieces in Natural Cream, Terracotta and Dusty Blue — a big round rug worked in concentric rings, and a striped rectangular mat with rows of plump bobbles, sized for the bathroom, the hallway or beside the bed.
THE TWO DESIGNS
• Outback Rings Round Rug — approx 90 cm (35½ in) across including its scalloped shell edge. Plain double crochet rings grow from a natural centre, with two raised Terracotta bobble rings, a Dusty Blue band, one airy openwork ring, and a scallop finish.
• Outback Stripe Rectangular Mat — approx 50 × 80 cm (19¾ × 31½ in), approx 52 × 82 cm with its border. Half double crochet stripes in Dusty Blue, Natural Cream and Terracotta, with a bobble row in every blue and terracotta band.

YARN & SIZES
Bulky (12 ply) cotton or cotton-blend rug yarn, 6.5 mm hook. The whole pack takes about 486 g (11 × 50 g balls: 4 Natural Cream, 4 Terracotta, 3 Dusty Blue). Cotton is the right fibre underfoot — hard-wearing, washable, and it lies beautifully flat.
SKILL LEVEL
Confident beginner and up — you need double crochet (UK treble), half double crochet, and the bobble, which the pattern teaches stitch by stitch. The rug grows fast in chunky yarn; the mat is a lovely weekend make.
