Description
Three cotton crochet bags in one pattern pack — a market tote with sewn-on gum leaves, a big striped shopper and a sweet mini tote — designed and counted stitch by stitch in our Aussie family shop.
Gum Leaf Market Tote (approx 34 cm wide × 32 cm tall, base 25 × 8 cm, strap drop approx 21 cm)
A tan open-mesh market tote with a solid flat base and a firm top band. The big green gum leaves are crocheted separately and sewn on as appliqué over the front — they are raised motifs with stitched centre veins, exactly as the photos show, and the pattern gives you the full leaf and stem patterns plus a placement diagram with cell-by-cell positions. 10 ply cotton: 2 balls tan, 1 ball gum green.
Navy & Cream Stripe Shopper (approx 40 cm wide × 32 cm tall, base 27.5 × 9 cm, strap drop approx 22 cm)
The big weekly shopper: dense half double crochet stripes (3 rounds navy, 2 rounds cream) and long straps worked in navy with a cream centre stripe, sewn in with a 6 cm overlap so it can carry the heavy shop. A stripe chart drawn from the pattern data keeps the sequence effortless. 3 balls navy, part of the cream below.
Cream Mini Tote (approx 21 cm wide × 12 cm tall, 17 cm to the top of the handles, base 15 × 5.5 cm)
A plain, sturdy little tote in solid single crochet with the handles worked right into the top — nothing to sew on, nothing to come loose. Lunch, phone, purse and a posy of flowers on the way home. Cream yarn shared with the shopper stripes: 2 balls cream covers both.
Every row and round of every bag is written out in full with its stitch count in brackets, and every count in this pack was asserted programmatically before printing — if your count matches, you are exactly on track. Charts and the leaf placement diagram are drawn from the same data as the written rows. US terms with UK equivalents, a yarn totals table up front (metres, grams and 50 g balls per colour and for the whole pack), gauge and finished sizes for each bag, and honest construction notes: why cotton is the right fibre for bags, how to reinforce straps for heavy loads, and how to add an optional lining. Nothing in this pack is worked-in colourwork — the one motif, the gum leaves, is appliqué and is described as appliqué.
