This printable PDF pack gives you full-size sewing patterns for 10 Australian animal felt finger puppets: a Tasmanian Devil, a Bandicoot, a Frilled-neck Lizard, a Blue-tongue Lizard, a Green Tree Frog, a Leafy Sea Dragon, a Budgerigar, a Little Penguin, a Sugar Glider and a Superb Lyrebird. Every puppet is sewn entirely by hand with simple blanket stitch – no sewing machine needed – and every face is embroidered or stitched felt. There are no plastic eyes, buttons or glued-on decorations anywhere in this pack, so your finished puppets are soft, sturdy and made to be played with.

SKILLS & MATERIALS
Beginner-friendly hand sewing. You will need craft felt in the colours listed for each puppet, six-strand embroidery floss, a needle, sharp scissors and a few tufts of toy stuffing for the designs that use it (the bandicoot's snout, the frog's eye domes and the devil's ear tips). Each puppet takes about an hour once your pieces are cut.
PRINTING
Templates are laid out for A4 and also fit US Letter – just print at 100% (actual size) with scaling off, and measure the red test square: it must be exactly 5.0 cm. No seam allowance is needed – felt doesn't fray and you stitch right at the edge.
CHILD SAFETY
All features are stitched or embroidered – nothing small and detachable. Sew feature pieces down firmly, check stitching now and then, and please supervise young children while they play. These are play puppets for little hands, not sleep toys for babies.
