Our drop bear hangs from a branch by his long forepaws in the classic mid-drop pose, just like the photos: soft grey DK cotton coat, a big cream belly patch, round koala ears with cream inners, a big dark nose, an open mouth with FOUR crocheted fangs, and THREE long cream claws on every paw for maximum grip. He has exactly two arms and two legs. We counted. Twice.
The arms are worked with a special back-loop hinge round and sewn on angled upwards, so he drapes naturally over a gum branch, a verandah rail, a curtain rod or the top of a bookshelf — prime lurking position.
