This is Hand Puppets Vol 1: a clever Dingo, an Australian Pelican with a bill you could go shopping with, a Tawny Frogmouth whose golden gape steals every scene, a Frilled-neck Lizard with a ruffled shell-stitch frill, an opinionated Australian Magpie, and a Great White Shark who is secretly a sweetheart.
These are proper hand puppets — a roomy hand tube, a head your fingers fill, and a separate lower jaw your thumb works, so every character can really talk. And they are all crochet originals: none of them appears in our knitted hand puppet line, so your puppet basket just doubled its cast.
Every round and row is counted for you — no guessing, ever. The magpie's white neck patch and the shark's teeth bands are charted AND written out from the same grids, so words and charts can never disagree. Yarn totals sit up front with grams, metres and yards per colour for every puppet and the whole set.

YOU WILL NEED
DK (8 ply) yarn in the listed colours, a 4.0 mm (US G-6) crochet hook, a tapestry needle, and stitch markers. No stuffing needed — your hand does the animating.
SAFETY, ALWAYS
Every face is embroidered — no plastic safety eyes, no buttons, no beads, and no detachable small parts. Sew firmly, pull-test before play, and supervise babies and toddlers, please.
Skill level: confident beginner onwards — single crochet, half double and double crochet, increases and decreases. The mouth assembly is explained in full in the Dingo pattern.
