Everything in our shop is a digital download, so there’s no waiting on the postman — your files are yours the moment checkout is done. Here’s how to get them, open them, and print them well at home.

Getting your files

After checkout, your files are waiting in My Account → Downloads. You do need to be signed in to see them. Each file can be downloaded up to 10 times, and the links never expire, so you can come back any time and grab a fresh copy.

Bought from us on Etsy instead? Your files live under You → Purchases and reviews on Etsy, and the download link is in your receipt email too.

Opening your files

Our patterns are PDFs. Any modern phone, tablet or computer will open them; if yours asks for an app, Adobe Acrobat Reader is free and does the job nicely.

Our audio stories are MP3s, and they play in whatever music app you already use.

If a file won’t open, the usual culprit is a download that didn’t quite finish. Download it again, let it complete fully, and then open it — that sorts it nearly every time.

Printing at home

Print at 100% scale (“Actual size”) whenever a pattern includes templates. “Fit to page” quietly shrinks everything, and your sizing will be off.
Our patterns are laid out on A4. Printing on US Letter? Keep the scale at 100% and just accept slightly different margins — everything still prints.
Many patterns include a test square. Measure it after printing: if it matches the size stated in the pattern, your sizing is true.
For multi-page templates, trim the page edges and tape the pages together, matching up the marks so the template lines run true.
Saving ink: use draft mode for practice pages, and for repeat makes, print only the template pages — no need to reprint the instructions every time.

Troubleshooting

Problem	Try this
Download link says expired or limit reached	Sign in first, then try My Account → Downloads again.
PDF opens blank or garbled	Download a fresh copy and open it in Acrobat Reader.
Printed motif is the wrong size	Reprint at 100% scale and check the test square.
MP3 won’t play	Download it fully, then open it in your usual music app.
Still stuck	Email us at alandtina.shop@gmail.com — a real person (usually Tina) will help.
