Description
Three more cotton crochet bags in one pattern pack — a proper stretchy string bag, a fresh aqua beach tote and a little coral handbag with a flap — designed and counted stitch by stitch in our Aussie family shop. Every construction in this volume is different from Vol 1, so the two packs sit together with zero overlap.
Natural Mesh Market Bag (approx 25 cm wide × 36 cm tall unloaded, base 17.5 × 6.5 cm, strap drop approx 28 cm)
The classic Aussie string bag, done properly: a solid crocheted flat base (so tins don’t poke through), a diamond chain-loop mesh body that stretches around a big shop, a firm top band, and one long wide shoulder strap sewn on at the side seams. 10 ply cotton, just 1 ball of natural — the mesh is mostly air and patience.
Aqua & White Stripe Tote (approx 36 cm wide × 28 cm tall, base 25 × 8 cm, strap drop approx 13 cm)
Seaside stripes in half double crochet (3 rounds aqua, 2 rounds white) with a stripe chart drawn from the pattern data. The two straps are crocheted separately and sewn flat onto the front and back as neat tabs, exactly as the photos show — a hand or elbow carry beach tote that swallows a towel and a novel. 2 balls aqua, 1 ball white.
Coral Flap Mini Handbag (approx 20 cm wide × 10 cm tall, base 15 × 4.5 cm, flap 6.5 cm deep, handle drop approx 9 cm)
A small structured handbag in solid single crochet. The flap is worked in rows from the back half of the bag, with decrease rows that shape the rounded corners, and finished with a neat edging round; the single handle is a folded, slip-stitched band for a firm rounded grip. Phone, card wallet, keys, lip balm — sorted. 1 ball coral.
Every row and round of every bag is written out in full with its stitch count in brackets, and every count in this pack was asserted programmatically before printing — if your count matches, you are exactly on track. The mesh diagram, stripe chart and flap shaping diagram are drawn from the same data as the written rows. US terms with UK equivalents, a yarn totals table up front (metres, grams and 50 g balls per colour and for the whole pack), gauge and finished sizes for each bag, and honest construction notes: why cotton is the right fibre for bags, how to sew straps so they stay sewn, and how to add an optional lining to the tote and handbag.
