📖 WHAT'S INSIDE
• 12 appliqué blocks, 10in finished: Waratah, Golden Wattle, Banksia, Kangaroo Paw, Gum Blossom, Flannel Flower, Bottlebrush, Sturt's Desert Pea, Grevillea, Everlasting Daisy, Billy Buttons and Swan River Daisy — 203 pieces in all, no repeats
• A chapter for every block: a placement diagram drawn from the exact same geometry as the templates, the pieces and fabrics list, and the order of work
• Full-size templates for every piece, each template page carrying a 1in test square — the squares were measured at exactly 72pt on all 19 template pages of the finished PDF, so the templates print at true size at 100%
• Two ways to appliqué: Method A fusible web, Method B needle-turn — pick your favourite, or mix them block by block
• Fabric requirements for the whole quilt plus a per-block computed table, and full cutting figures for sashing, borders and binding
• Assembly in a 3 x 4 layout with 2in sashing and 3in borders, quilting and binding steps, and a landscape play-mat variation
🧵 TWO WAYS TO APPLIQUÉ
New to appliqué, or coming back to it? Method A (fusible web) is quick and forgiving — trace, fuse, stitch around the edge and the block is done. Method B (needle-turn) gives the traditional hand-finished edge. Every block chapter lays out its pieces in sewing order, and the templates in the PDF are the verified geometry itself, so what you cut is exactly what the placement diagram shows.
🌿 THE AUSSIE BIT
Australia's wildflowers don't do shy — waratahs flare red, wattle turns whole hillsides gold, and kangaroo paws stand up and wave. All twelve blooms here are drawn true to the real flowers, so the finished quilt reads like a walk through the bush in spring.
