Description
🧶 Aussie Animal Finger Puppets Vol 6 — 12 knitted sea puppet patterns (PDF download, 34 pages)
Twelve Aussie sea creatures to knit as finger puppets — the cast of Australia's reefs, beaches and open ocean, from a green sea turtle to a gliding stingray. Every puppet in this pack is shaped its own way: the turtle wears a proper knitted shell, the clownfish's white bands are knitted in, the octopus is all mantle and curls, and the stingray is one flat diamond with a pocket underneath. No two makes feel the same, and every face is embroidery — no safety eyes, no small parts.
WHAT'S INSIDE
• 12 original finger puppet patterns: Green Sea Turtle, Dolphin, Octopus, Seahorse, Crab, Jellyfish, Clownfish, Dugong, Shark, Starfish, Humpback Whale and Stingray
• A dedicated photo page for every puppet
• A pattern-at-a-glance box for each pattern (skill level, finished size, yarn, needles)
• Full row-by-row instructions with the stitch count on every row
• Step-by-step assembly notes and a story-time tip for every character
YOU WILL NEED
• DK weight (8-ply) yarn in sea colours — about 10–15 g of the main colour per puppet
• 3.25 mm (US 3) double-pointed needles (or a circular needle for magic loop)
• A little polyester fiberfill, embroidery thread for faces, a tapestry needle, stitch markers and scissors
SKILL LEVEL
Confident beginner. If you can knit in the round and increase and decrease, you can make every puppet in this pack — each one takes an evening at most. Grandparents knit a set for story time; teachers keep a whole cast in a pencil case. These are the creatures of Australia's coastline — the ones Aussie kids grow up spotting at the beach and the aquarium.
