Description
Along Moonlit Mangrove Creek, where a sulphur-crested cockatoo family roosts in a gum tree hollow and the water glitters between the roots, the Australian creek is settling for the night. Aussie Bedtime Stories Vol 184 gathers six original Australian bedtime stories for ages 3–7, each with a gentle ending — stories about waiting as a game, your different bit being your special bit, the magic of being still, growing at your own speed, being brave and gentle at the same time, and the night as a friend.
WHAT'S INSIDE — 6 STORIES, 27 PAGES
• Ashkye's Waiting Tide — a story about how waiting can be a game
• Avoca's Waving Claw — a story about how your different bit is your special bit
• Ayrton Stands Still — a story about the magic of being still
• Babinda's Quick Dart — a story about growing at your own speed
• Baiame's Brave Night — a story about being brave and gentle at the same time
• Balberra's Starry Flight — a story about how the night is a friend
Every story in this Australian collection ends gently and sleepily, with soft, unhurried language made for reading aloud. It's a cosy way to share a little piece of Australia at bedtime — one Aussie animal at a time — and a lovely pick for Aussie families, Australian classrooms, and little readers everywhere who love gentle animal tales.
